CurriculumWhat to expect
So what can you expect from Cheadle Hulme Primary School?
Opening in a brand-new building offered us the chance to work with architects to plan exactly the right learning environment to provide a curriculum that delivers our vision:
‘Every child, regardless of background and circumstance, will flourish, enjoy their education and succeed. Their experience at primary school will pave the way for success at secondary school and beyond and will ultimately open the door to the future of their choice.’
Our curriculum will ensure that every child recognises what it takes to succeed, sets aspirational goals and works hard to achieve them with the support of a highly qualified and dedicated team of education professionals. It will be shaped by the children as it responds to their individual needs and underpinned by the Cornerstones of the Laurus Trust: Academic Aspiration, Leadership and Service, Competition and Physical Endeavour and Culture, Creativity and Rhetoric.
Your child will feel safe and secure, valued and cared for at Cheadle Hulme Primary School. Each pupil will flourish and succeed. Our curriculum will represent all the planned activities that we organise in order to promote learning and personal development. It will include not only the formal requirements of the National Curriculum but also our School Curriculum underpinned by the four Cornerstones.
We will utilise the National Curriculum as a framework of core knowledge from which teachers can plan and deliver engaging learning opportunities. From this we will develop in our pupils a broader and deeper understanding of the world; both the world that we know, and the world that will be theirs in the future.
