This year the children at Cheadle Hulme Primary School have been spreading some festive cheer by making Christmas cards to share with older members of their local community.

Working together with nearby Queens Gardens Sheltered Housing, the children made the cards to deliver to older people, to reassure them that they are not forgotten this Christmas time.

Cheadle Hulme Primary head teacher Elise Drake said: “It’s estimated that thousands of older people will spend Christmas alone this year, making it essential that we reach out and share Christmas wishes where we can.”
